Why do you feel Matta does so well at Loveduck?
CG: While creating pieces we try to weave in them stories - stories talking about colours and memories of beauty we want to carry with us.
Falling in love, embodying that feeling, the discovery, traveling, even if just in your mind.
Ainslie you are so full of life, you add on to each piece you touch and introduce. This is why Matta does so well at Loveduck, because we are a beautiful embrace of love, together.
How do you find and create such beautiful slow fashion - what motivates you ?
CG: I have always been curious. I love to discover, I admire the patience of slow creation, I have been lucky to work with incredible artisans, and I have learned a lot from them.
I tried to create a fusion between old techniques and modern living, using colours as a way to express emotions. And then watching them in movement.
What's makes you happy as a person around your brand?
I love to see people wearing Matta and feel confident, and loving them to bits.
I have met people and they have told me so many stories about still wearing pieces from so many years ago. There is affection.
When something is created and made out of love and care and attention, that stays with the piece.
