eschewing the mass consumer market in favour of limited, annual collections, the pair behind our favourite embroidered jacket, share their unique approach to making clothes sustainably.

How long has M.A.B.E been around and why do you feel it's always a sell out season year after year for you?

A&K: We spend a lot of time creating a gorgeous collection every year. We do not make Autumn/Winter collections, which allows us time to focus on the details and improve the collection year after year.

Where is your gorgeous embroidery work done?

A&K: All work is done in India, we have worked with the same female owned partners for the past 10 years.

Your famous M.A.B.E jacket, how did that come about? At Loveduck we love selling that jacket!

A&K: It was a favorite from the get-go! The sleeve and embroidery are signature M.A.B.E, so we always feature it in our collection. It was created with everyday wear in mind, much like a cardigan; you can pair it with jeans and feel instantly dressed and ready to go. It's effortlessly chic and you will always get complimented when wearing a M.A.B.E jacket.

What's your fav piece in your collection and why?

A&K: My favourite jacket is the ADA, it is signature M.A.B.E, embroidered on a linen mix, the handle is soft and gorgeous. The Florie 1/2 sleeve top the print is subtle and signature M.A.B.E I love everything about it!
