The Sirena top is entirely made by hand by a cooperative of women in the valleys around Oaxaca. The one of a kind piece is made of cotton panels (tela) joined together with traditional hand crochet. The shoulders honour tradition with the embellished woven mixtec geometric motifs, while the multi-coloured stitching adds a modern twist.
